Education
We pride ourselves on providing a modern education, where working with all textures of hair is taught from day one. In weekly training sessions, you will learn how to assess the hair in front of you, pick the correct tools and run a column with models – gaining practical experience from technical cutting and colouring to the styling process. Customer service will make up a large part of your role and you will learn all the workings of the salon floor, including the importance of teamwork.
Expertise
We believe that our job is to enhance natural beauty, to create gorgeous, wearable hair and make our clients feel great. We are experts in our field and have monthly team-wide education workshops, designed to share ideas, learn new techniques and inspire our creative work. We are partnered with Davines, an ethical product range which delivers beautiful results whilst being kinder to the environment.
Support
Our apprentices are paid adult wages (vs. apprentice wages), your weekly full day of training is paid at this rate, as well as any other workshop internally or externally. We are a supportive company, with apprentices receiving flexible schedules (including alternate weekends off) and set breaks. We are a busy salon but we always allocate good sized appointments and an excellent assistant to stylist ratio to ensure that our team – whether stylist or assistant – do not feel rushed or overstretched. We have regular socials, including yoga and wellness sessions and a dedicated external Employee Assistance Programme to support our team’s health and wellbeing – both professionally and personally.
